Anthropic’s small-business plugin (v1.35.1). A router skill takes plain-English requests (“can I make payroll?”, “who owes me money?”, “close the books”) and sends each one to the right workflow. The workflows cover finance (close-month, month-end-prep, pay-the-bills, ap-processor, invoice-chase, cash-flow-snapshot, tax-prep), sales, marketing, hiring and a Monday business brief.
When to use it
- You run a small business and want one install that covers bookkeeping chores, collections, cash visibility and weekly reporting.
- You want an agent to work the AP inbox: read and code vendor bills, check cash, then stage a payment run for you to approve.
- You want a recurring “how’s the business doing” brief from your ledger, payments and CRM.
Before you install
This plugin can reach a lot. Its .mcp.json lists 35 hosted connectors, including QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, Zoho Books, Stripe, Square, PayPal, Ramp, Gusto, Airwallex, Gmail, HubSpot and Shopify. Nothing connects until you sign in to each one, so connect only the ones you use and check the scopes each vendor asks for. Some of them can send email, post to ledgers and start payments. The skills ask for your approval before those steps, but your client’s own tool-permission prompts are still the backstop. Every skill also works from uploaded CSVs, PDFs or pasted text with nothing connected. Anthropic says outputs aren’t financial, tax, legal or HR advice.
